Summit Speaker

David Kline joined Mechanical Simulation in 2018 after completing his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan. His dissertation developed kinematic synthesis techniques for the geometry of independent suspensions. Since joining, he has contributed to the development of the suspension and steering models used in CarSim and TruckSim, and also lead development of the SuspensionSim product. Most recently, he has been leading a 2+ year effort to extend TruckSim for off-road applications, serving as the lead developer of two terramechanics-based tire models.
