Summit Speaker
Karl Leodler
Principal Investigator, DDT
Mr. Karl Leodler, founder and CEO of Dynamic Dimension Technologies, has over 30 years of experience developing modeling and simulation
(M&S) software, algorithms and physical lab and field testing, and 20 years developing GNC, AI and autonomy systems. Over the years,
he's worked for large and small businesses with increasing roles and responsibilities which cumulatively led him to founding DDT. Mr.
Leodler has executed projects achieving SEI CMMI Level 3 certification and is currently leveraging Agile and DevSecOps techniques
along with Design Thinking methodology for the efficient product development of DDT's VxSimTM software for digital twin and autonomous
systems development, synthetic image generation, testing, monitoring and control. Mr. Leodler has been PI on several SBIR Phase I and
Phase II awards with successful commercial transitions.
Prior major activities include General Dynamics' M&S lead for the Navy's DD-21 program where he led the team and Smart Product Model
(SPM) development. The SPM was the first prototype to provide a digital thread between requirements, design, analysis and simulation,
and a ManTech Shipyard modeling for logistics and construction of Navy ships. Second, Mr. Leodler was the lead developer and architect
for MDA's National Team Modeling and Simulation, family of systems simulation and analysis. Finally, Mr. Leodler was General Dynamics
Robotic Systems' M&S Department Director and lead for Army's FCS Autonomous Navigation System, where he developed the first physics-based
simulation environment for developing and testing autonomous vehicles within a digital twin environment (systems software and hardware
in the loop), and a digital thread for requirements and performance verification. Prior to starting DDT, Mr. Leodler was President of
JRM Technologies, a small business developing sensor simulations for training systems.
